1. Obituary: Tomah Journal. Shirley Ann Lamb-Meincke, 56, of Janesville, formerly of Tomah, passed away Monday, May 17, 2004, at the Alden Meadow Park Health Care Center in Clinton. She was born May 31, 1947, in Tomah, to Mitchell Lamb and Ardella (Shaw) Lamb-Garber. Shirley was raised in Tomah and later moved to Milwaukee, where she worked for George Webb and Harley Davidson. She also lived in Clinton and Beloit before moving to Janesville.

Shirley enjoyed reading, challenging puzzles and arts and crafts. She also was an avid collector of Elvis memorabilia and wind chimes.

She is survived by four children, Lee L. (Carol) Kropp of Beloit, Jacquolyn M. Kropp of Fort Collins, CO, Stacy A. Lamb of Janesville and Sara A. Meincke of Janesville; one sister, Charlotte (Roger) Hancock of Valley Junction; two brothers, Rick (Nancy) Garber of Warrens and Joe (Kim) Garber of Warrens; six grandchildren, Michael Kropp, Nichole Kropp, Rebecca Kropp, Troy Meincke, Katelynn Meincke and Travis Meincke; her step-father, Kenneth Garber; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and her loving dog, Tundra. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 21, at 11 a.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah. Burial will follow in the Wood Cemetery near Tomah. Family and friends are invited for visitation today (Thursday), May 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until time of the service on Friday. The Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah is assisting the family with arrangements.

Shirley married Arthur George Meincke on 23 Aug 1975. (Arthur George Meincke was born on 1 Apr 1944, died on 16 Dec 1992 and was buried in Warrens, WI, Warren Mills Cemetery.)
