Lila Margaret Wieland

ARCADIA, Wis. --- Lila Margaret Wieland, 93, died Monday, February 26th, 1990 in St. Joseph's Hospital, Arcadia, Wis. She was born February 9th 1897 in Alma to John and Demiah (Turton) Miller. She married Rudolph Wieland June 16, 1920, in Alma.

She had attended Alma schools and graduated from Buffalo County Normal School in 1916. She taught school in North Dakota for three years and one year in Glencoe rural Arcadia Schools.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, WELCA, and Arcadia Flower Club. She was a homemaker and a farmer.

She is survived by a son, Lee of Arcadia, a daughter, Lita Schollmeier of Arcadia, four grandchildren, Terry, Merita, and Kent Schollmeier and Cindy Rasmussen, and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two half brothers and a half sister.

Services will be Wednesday in Christ Lutheran church at 11 am, with the Rev. Clair Whitmore officiating. Spring burial will be in Glencoe Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends my today from 4 to 9 pm, at Killian Funeral Home, where there will be an 8 p.m. prayer service, and at the church on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. Casket bearers will be Ben Kowalsky, Albert Berg, Hugh Duffy, Bob Tenney, Adam Reuter and Tom Roskos.

Lila married Rudolph John Wieland, son of Joseph Wieland and Emma Keller, on 16 Jul 1920 in Alma, WI. (Rudolph John Wieland was born on 13 Jul 1883 in Glencoe Twn, WI, died on 23 Dec 1966 in La Crosse, WI and was buried in Glencoe, WI, Glencoe Lutheran Cemetery.)
