1. Obituary. Ralph E. Byers, 77, of Janesville, WI, died Monday, September 11, 2017 at Pioneer Court. He was born July 21, 1940 in Beloit, WI, the son of Charles and Laura (LeMay) Byers-Hammond. Ralph was a 1958 graduate of Beloit Memorial High School. Ralph was formerly employed by Kerry Ingredients for over 30 years. He enjoyed gardening, tinkering in the garage, wood working, playing cards, going to the movies and out for dinner. Ralph was an avid Green Bay Packer, NHRA and John Force fan. Survivors include his wife; children; grandchildren; step children; several step grandchildren; sisters; sister-in-law; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Charles Byers, mother Laura Hammond, brother Robert Byers, sister Catherine Waldsmith, brothers-in-law Arnold Waldsmith and Arnold Sloniker, and great nephew Scott Berner. A Service of Remembrance for Ralph will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 15, 2017 in the River of Life United Methodist Church, 2345 Prairie Avenue, Beloit, WI, with Reverend David Carlson officiating. Inurnment will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.
