1. Obituary. Roger Thomas Wahl, 67, Monticello, died Monday, January 24, 1994 at The Monroe Clinic. He was born December 27, 1926 in Blanchardville, the son of Orlean and Orpha (Evanstad) Wahl. He attended Argyle High School and served in the armed forces for two years during World War II in Korea, Japan and the Phillipines. He married Ruth Tollakson on June 27, 1952, at the East Wiota Lutheran Church. Mr. Wahl was a member of the Monticello American Legion and the Monroe Veterans of Foreign Wars. He retired from Local 139 Operators in January 1989.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth, at home; his mother, Orpha Wahl, Monroe; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Judy) Edler, Browntown, and Mrs. Robert (Dawn) Wirth, Argyle and Carol Wahl, Spring Green; three sons, Steve Wahl, Monticello, Richard Wahl, Ridgeway and Tony Wahl, Oregon; twelve grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and one great grandson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father in 1963.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 28 at the Argyle Lutheran Church, Argyle. The Erickson Funeral Home, was in charge of arrangements.

Roger married Ruth Ellen Tollakson on 27 Jun 1952. (Ruth Ellen Tollakson was born on 16 Feb 1934 and died on 29 Jan 2006.)
