Noted events in her life were: • Obituary. Myrna L. Bruce age 82 of Camp Douglas died on Sunday April 8, 2012 at Fair View Nursing Home in Mauston, WI. Myrna was the daughter of Fred E. and Susan M. (Hollen) Skinner and was born on December 25, 1929 in New Lisbon. Myrna was united in marriage to Robert "Buck" Bruce on August 31, 1949 in Mauston, WI. Myrna has worked at Badger Ordinance in Baraboo, WI, part-time for the Village of Camp Douglas, Target Bluff Restaurant, and they also operated a gas filling station in Camp Douglas. She was a member of the Camp Douglas American Legion Post 133 Auxiliary. Myrna in her younger years enjoyed roller skating, and skiing, and also like to go fishing. Myrna is survived by her husband Robert of Necedah, WI, and a brother Earl Skinner of Necedah, WI, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Fred and Charles Skinner, and sisters, Edna, Edith, Dolly, Marian, Lenah, Mildred, and Sylvia. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday April 11, 2012 at 11:00am at the Hare Funeral Home in New Lisbon, with Rev. Stephanie Taylor Homann presiding. Relatives and friends may call at the Hare Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10:00am till the 11:00am time of service. Burial will be in the Camp Douglas Village Cemetery. Myrna married Robert J Bruce, son of Emery Bennett Bruce and Laura Louelle Grimshaw, on 31 Aug 1949. (Robert J Bruce was born on 19 Apr 1929 in Camp Douglas, WI, died on 7 Oct 2014 in Wonewoc, WI and was buried in Camp Douglas, WI, Camp Douglas Cemetery.) |
