LA FARGE -- Funeral services for Benjamin A. Murphy, 38, La Farge, were held Saturday afternoon in the LaFarge Methodist church.
The Rev. Alva Beaman, Richland Center, officiated. Burial was in the Viola cemetery.
Mr. Murphy died suddenly Wednesday night at the farm home of Mrs. Hattie McGary near Brush Hollow.
He was born in Kickapoo township and lived with the Ed Drake family on Bear Creek after his mother's death. He was married to Leah Harris May 23, 1935.
Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Lorraine, and a son, William Edward, both at home; four brothers, John, La Crosse; Martin, Necedah; Louis, New Lisbon, and Tom, address unknown, and a sister, Mrs. John Hanson, Ontario.
