1. Obituary. Galen J. Kuster, formerly of Potosi, WI, passed away November 7, 2022, at Luther Manor in Dubuque, Iowa.

Galen was born on November 20, 1939, to Carlyle J. and Velma B. Kuster in Lancaster, WI. He graduated from Lancaster High School in 1958. After graduation he joined the National Guard stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. On October 16, 1959, he married Carolyn M. McFall at the Platteville Congregational Church. She pre-deceased him on December 10, 2003. He later married Jean Burr who also pre-deceased him. He is also pre-deceased by his parents, and his sister Mary Belle Kuster.

Galen was a skilled carpenter and woodworker and a certified diesel mechanic. He worked as a farmer, mechanic, milk truck driver, factory worker and for over twenty years as a parts-man at Riverside Tractor & Trailer. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and woodworking.

He is survived by his children: Bonita (Paul) Klein, Monroe, WI, and their children, Cameron (Emma) Klein, Madison, WI, James Klein of Monroe, WI, Matthew (Miranda) Klein, West Monroe, LA, Patrick (Allison) Klein, Dodgeville and Kyle (Elise) Klein, Lakeville, MN; Dwight (Beth) Kuster, Potosi, WI and their children, Alesha (John) Harman, Travis (Brittany) Kuster and Ryan (Hannah) Kuster, all of Potosi; Kevin (Candy) Kuster, Potosi, WI and their children, Ashley (Derek) McBee, Lancaster, WI, Nicole (Gregory) Atnip, Dubuque, IA, and Mitchell (Emily) Kuster, Madison, WI; Karl (Melissa) Kuster, St. Francis, WI; and Wade (Michelle) Kuster, Cuba City, WI and their children, Skyler, Riley, Owen, Wyatt, Cole and Baylee, at home; and twelve great-grandchildren with two more on the way.

He is further survived by his sister, Grenith (Bill) Cherry, Benton and several nieces, a nephew, and cousins.

Services will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Martin Schwartz Funeral Home Lancaster, WI. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of services, followed by burial at Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster, WI.

Galen married Carolyn Mae McFall, daughter of Lyle Elwood McFall and Grace Jeanette Russell, on 16 Oct 1959 in Lancaster, WI. (Carolyn Mae McFall was born on 19 Apr 1938 in Potosi, WI, died on 10 Dec 2003 and was buried on 13 Dec 2003 in Lancaster, WI, Hillside Cemetery.). The cause of her death was Car accident.
