1. Obituary. Janice Arline Pothour-66-Rockford, died at 3:50 A.M. Monday, July 20, 2009 at her home. Born August 28, 1942, in Waterloo Township near Potosi, Wisconsin. Parents Frank Vance Oakleaf and Edith Marie Stanton Oakleaf. Janice has lived in Rockford since 1965 and most recently was in sales at Information Control Co. Member of Crossroads Christian Fellowship Church and has been involved in the Restoration Program at the church. Graduated from Platteville, Wisconsin High School. Survivors include her daughter, Joy (Bob) McKee of Louisville, Kentucky and her sons, Jon (Kim) Pothour and Jay (Tina) Pothour of Colorado. Her brother, Joseph (Jeanir) Oakleaf of Itasca, IL. and her sister, Diana Tharp of Dubuque, IA. Her special longtime friend, Tomis Ferguson of Rockford and 6 grandchildren. Memorial visitation from 4:00 P.M. until 6:30 P.M. Friday, July 24, 2009 and memorial service at 6:30 P.M., at Crossroads Christian Fellowship, 625 Adams St., Rockford, IL. 61107. Rev. Randy Hargate will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in care of the family Janice married James Edward Pothour, son of Donald Lee Pothour and Margaret Kartmann, on 2 Apr 1960 in Platteville, WI, St Mary's Church. The marriage ended in divorce on 4 Jun 1972. (James Edward Pothour was born on 29 Jul 1943.) |
