Mrs. Cletus (Vera E.) Cushman, 76, Belmont, died Sunday, Dec. 20, 1987 at Southwest Health Center, Platteville.

Mrs. Cushman was the former Vera Nichols. She was united in marriage to Cletus Cushman on Nov. 30, 1931. They lived in Platteville until 1951 when they moved to Belmont. She was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church, Belmont.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Nicholas, Belmont, and Jerome, Victor, NY; two daughters, Mrs. Doug (Cheryl) Speth, Belmont, and Mrs. Connie Foley, Calamine; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Helen Doyle, Platteville, and Mrs. Arch (Phyllis) Sokup, Bloomer.

Funeral services were at 11 am Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1987 at Peace Lutheran Church, Belmont. Burial was in the Belmont Cemetery. Mergen Funeral Home, Platteville, was in charge of arrangements.

Vera married Cletus Leroy Cushman. (Cletus Leroy Cushman was born on 10 Jun 1911 and was buried in Belmont, WI, Belmont Cemetery.)
