Jenny was born May 8, 1928 in Oakdale, WI to Frank J. and Josephine (Parker) Slaughter.
She married Elvert Walter June 14, 1947 in Waukon, IA. He preceded her in death December 20, 2003.
She is survived by five daughters and four sons-in-law, Dianna and Ted Wagen of New Port Richey, FL, Karen and Jim Bush of Waunakee, WI, Jenny and Tom Hedrick of Marriottsville, MD, Kathy Jo "Josie" Walter of Buckner, IL and Pamela and Butch Berzinski of Brodhead, WI; 11 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; four brothers, Dean (Linda) Slaughter of Eddy, TX, Chris (Lois) Slaughter of Sebring, FL, Frank (Stella) Slaughter of Bellmead, TX, David (Nora) Slaughter of Hill City, KS, four sisters, Gloria DeFord of Oshkosh, WI, Polly Brey of Janesville, WI; Gay (Larry) Parker of Mauston, WI and Lulubelle (Harry) Sileven of West Frankfort, IL.
Her parents and three brothers, Rex, Richard and Robert Slaughter also preceded her in death.
Visitation for Mrs. Walter will be held 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Sime Funeral Home in Readstown, WI. grave side services at the Sugar Grove Cemetery in Crawford County at 11:00 a.m.
Jennie married Elvert Walter.
