• Miscellaneous. When Magdalena Jehle was born on June 13, 1814, in Baden, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, her father, Franz Ignaz Jehle, was 38, and her mother, Regina Lorenz, was 26. There were at least four children in the family: Magdalena Roesch, Franz, Christine, and Rosina Ross.

Magdalena married Mathias Eugene Roesch on July 13, 1835, in Achern, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. They had 11 children in 23 years: Joseph Eugene, Franz Lorenz, Elenora Stoll, Phillip, Herman Henry, Regina Cardey. Felix, Magdalena "Lena" Crouch, Josephine E. McAllister, Mary Elizabeth Fine, and John Albert.

Magdalena died on April 14, 1861, in Potosi, Wisconsin, at the age of 46, and was buried in Saint Andrews Cemetery.
