1. Obituary. Jack Dempsey Weeden, 93, Rockton, Illinois died peacefully at 8:45 a.m., Sunday, May 15, 2016 in Fair Oaks Nursing Home.

Jack was born July 29, 1922 in Viola, Wisconsin the son of Clark A. and Grace (kinyon) Weeden. He lived most of his life in Rockton, Illinois and Beloit, Wisconsin. Graduated from Beloit High School class of 1941. Jack married the former Gladys Newman in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Beloit, Wisconsin on July 19, 1943. He was employed as a tool and die maker for Atwood Vacuum for 35 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during WWII as an Arial Gunner then assigned to the U.S.S. Hancock. Jack was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church in Beloit, Wisconsin and Walter Graham American Legion Post #332 in Rockton, Illinois. The family would like to thank the Fair Oaks Nursing Home and their staff for all the loving care.

Survivors include wife; sons, Lawrence (Lyn) Weeden, Pendelton, Oregon, Timothy J (Co) Weeden, Rockton, Illinois, Paul Weeden, South Beloit, Illinois; grandchildren Lana (Morgan) Erlanson, St. Clemete, CA., Frieda (Allen) Zatz, West Hills, CA., Michelle (Fred Huang) Weeden, Chicago, Illinois, Johnathan (Nancy) Tran, Bensonville, IL., Lien (Allan) Tran, Orland, FL.; great grandchildren Isabella Erlanson, Arthor Erlanson, Allia Zatz, Mitchell Tran, Megan Tran; numerous Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Virgil, Marvin, Raymond and Clark Weeden; Grand Daughter Christiana Lynn Weeden.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2016 at St Paul Lutheran Church, 617 St. Lawrence Ave., Beloit, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home \endash Rockton Chapel, 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd., Rockton, Illinois from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, May 22, 2016. Burial will be in Rockton Township Cemetery, Rockton, Illinois.
