Mrs. Gertrude Stark, 80, of 1502 Parker Street, died at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday in South Side Hospital after a two year illness.
Mrs. Stark was born Dec. 16, 1895, in Little Rock, Ark., a daughter of Harmon and Hattie McFall, coming to Youngstown 54 years ago from Hubbard. She was co-owner of Stark Florist and Greenhouses, established 1887, and the second oldest florist shop in Youngstown. She was a member of Pilgrim Collegiate Church and past commander and chaplain of D.A.V., Auxiliary Post 2. Her husband, Albert J., to who she was married Nov. 25, 1922, died Feb. 9, 1964.
She leaves two sons, H. Robert Stark of Austintown and Harry A. Stark of Fort Worth, Tex.: three daughters, Mrs. Louise Trebus of Struthers, Mrs. Edith Wauschek of Las Vegas, Nev., and Mrs. Annabelle Schiffer of Boardman; a brother, Paul McFall of Hubbard, a sister Mrs. Callie Sharer of Brookfield; 14 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Services will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Kelly and Son Funeral Home, where friends ma call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
