1. Obituary. Phillip J. Rice, age 55, of Lancaster, left to be with the Lord on Friday, November 15, 2013, at his home, surrounded by his family. Phil was born on June 1, 1958 in Lancaster, a son of Claudie & Eileen (Moore) Rice.

Phil attended Lancaster High School, where he was on the football and wrestling teams. He graduated in 1976.

Phil was united in marriage with Miss Gloria Morgan on November 9, 1996, at Calvary Community Church in Lancaster.

He worked at Lands End in Dodgeville, where he was employed for 25 years.

Phil enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and watching sports, especially Flying Arrow Wrestling and Football.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2013, at Calvary Community Church in Lancaster, with Rev. James Alexander officiating.

Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster.

Friends may call from 5 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster, and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.

In lieu of plants and flowers, a Phillip J. Rice Memorial Fund has been established.
