1. Obituary. Louis T. Livangood, 82, of Sparta died Friday, October 23, 2009 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse. He was born on July 26, 1927 in the Town of Little Falls, Monroe County, Wisconsin to Theodore and Marian (Paulsen) Livangood.

He attended the Delavan School for the Deaf. After school he lived and worked in various cities in Wisconsin. He then moved to St. Paul, Minnesota where he lived for 35 years. He married the former Lulabelle Peck on January 10, 1970 in EauClaire, WI.

They returned to this area in 1992.

Louis was a member of the LaCrosse Deaf Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially enjoyed woodcrafting.

He is survived by six sons, Bobby Livangood of Coon Valley, WI, Jerry (Terry) Livangood of Tacoma, WA, Tom (LaVonne) Livangood of Sparta, Howard (Karen) Groton of MA, Louis Livangood Jr. of Superior, WI, and Patrick Livangood of Superior, WI; two daughters, Rosalie Guderjohn of Waupaca, WI, and Patricia Livangood of Sparta, WI; 21 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lulabelle on August 13, 2002; three sisters, Doris Marshall, Charlotte Hughes, Alberta Fabian; an infant sister, Delores Livangood; a daughter, Rosella Books; two brothers-in-law, Gerald Fabian, and Robert Hughes.

Graveside services will be Friday at 3 p.m. in the Cataract Cemetery, Cataract.

Louis married Lillian Verna Johnson, daughter of Antoine Johnson and Edna Ellen Shaw, on 6 Dec 1947. (Lillian Verna Johnson was born on 1 Mar 1926 and died on 4 Jan 2006.)

Louis next married Lulabelle Peck. (Lulabelle Peck was born on 13 Oct 1935, died on 13 Aug 2002 and was buried in Cataract, WI, Cataract Cemetery.)
