Robert A Hall

  Noted events in his life were:

• Obituary. Robert A. "Bob" Hall of Dublin died on Jan. 8, 2015 at Golden Living, Doylestown, after a prolonged illness. He was 83 years old.

The beloved husband of Esther V. Hall, they had been married for 56 years.

Born in Stillwater, Okla., he was the son of the late Chester and Alice Treat Hall.

Bob lived most of his life in Dublin. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. After honorable discharge, Bob attended Upper Iowa University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. After moving to Pennsylvania he became a computer operator at the Naval Air Development Center, Johnsville, where he programmed the centrifuge used in the training of the early astronauts. He thoroughly enjoyed telling stories about meeting our country's first astronauts. In his later years Bob also enjoyed reading, traveling, working with stained glass, and collecting coins.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Carol Moyer (Scott) and Lisa Hall; as well as his two grandsons, Mathew Hall and Kevin Moyer. Bob is also survived by his sisters, Jean Leonhart, Shirley Carpenter, and Kelly Piepmeier; and his brother, David Hall.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, at Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, 2335 Lower State Road, Doylestown. Visitation with the family will be from 2 p.m., until the time of the service. Interment will be private.
