Harry J. Niemann, Jr. was born January 23, 1934 in Barnhart, Missouri. He passed from this life on April 10, 2015 at his home in Colorado Springs.

Harry is survived by his wife of 59 years, Maxine S. Niemann, sons David M. Niemann (Lillian), Brian K. Niemann, Sr. (Marcia), grandchildren Brian K. Niemann, Jr. (Amber) and Autumn D. Niemann.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents Harry J. Niemann, Sr. and Maybelle (Aubuchon) Niemann and his brothers Lloyd K. Niemann and James L. Niemann, Sr.

Harry served in the Air Force for 25 years and retired in 1978 with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. Upon retirement from the Air Force, he earned a Computer Programming degree from PPCC. After obtaining his degree, he continued a relationship with the school as an instructor. Harry also enjoyed a successful career in computer programming with various local companies. In 2001, he retired from Atmel where he had worked for the previous 13 years.

Harry enjoyed reading, learning, computers, history, and music. Even as his body aged, his mind remained sharp and curious. He continued to explore new computer programming languages. Harry often tested his family's knowledge on a wide variety of subjects and trivia.

Services will be held Saturday, May 9 at 11:00 at Grace Lutheran Church located at 1128 E. Boulder in Colorado Springs.

Harry loved and cherished many family pets over the years. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, 610 Abbot Lane, Colorado Springs CO 80905 or an animal charity of your choice.

The family would like to express its gratitude to the caring staff of Legacy Hospice. Their compassion and support during Harry's last few months made a difference in all of our lives.

Harry married Maxine Sylvia Danback, daughter of Ervin Danback and Adah, in 1956. (Maxine Sylvia Danback was born on 26 Aug 1936, died on 13 Jul 2016 and was buried in Colorado Springs, CO.)
