GERTRUDE C RUSSELL: Platteville; 88, died Saturday evening (6/20) at Southwest Health Center-Platteville. She was born 5 Feb 1899 in GrantCnty, a dau of John Lewis & Isabelle Graves Sisley. She was married to J Clement Russell on 4 May 1921. They farmed together in HarrisonTwp & then near Ellenboro for over 40 years before retiring in Platteville. Her husband died 5 Jul 1977. She was a member of the Whig United Methodist Church & its United Methodist Woman's Organization. SAlso an active member of the Farm Bureau, GrantCounty Homemakers & the REA. Survivors include a son: Bruce Russell-O'Fallon MO; 5 grandchildren; 6 gr grandchildren. Besides her parents & husband, she was preceded in death by a son Keith-Woodville OH; a sis-Grace Cummings-CA; 3 bros: Arthur & Simon-both Lancaster & William Sisley-Fennimore. Service will be held this morning (6/23) in the Bonin Funeral Home with RevWesley Hunter officiating. Burial will be held in GreenwoodCem-Platteville.
