David Francis Burbach

1. Obituary, Jun 2019. David F. Burbach, 69, of Henderson, NV, formerly of Platteville, WI & Cuba City, WI passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 in Sioux Falls, SD. Services will be held on Monday June 24th at 11a.m. at St. Augustine University Parish in Platteville, WI. Burial will be in the Blockhouse Cemetery in rural Platteville, WI. Friends may call from 3p.m.-7p.m. on Sunday, June 23rd at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI; also on Monday, from 10a.m. until time of service at the church.

David was born on December 11, 1949 to Merlin & Elsie (Kaiser) Burbach in Dubuque, IA. He attended St. Rose School, Wahlert High School and UW-Platteville and graduated with a BA in Engineering. He owned and operated Burbach Aquatics Inc. in Platteville, WI. David enjoyed farming, "recycling", having a perfect lawn, Ford tractors & vehicles - all things Ford, but most of all he enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

David is survived by his fiancée, Cheryl Huggins; 5 children: Amy (Dennis) Crooks, Erin (Holly) Huggins, Sarah (Mike) Weigel, Eric (Morgan) Huggins and Elissa (Rob) French; 9 grandchildren: Nick, Isaac, Ashley, Makayla, Sadie, Emma, Elliott, Evelyn & Eli; a brother, Mark (Jo) Burbach; an uncle, Paul (Mary Ann) Burbach, his staff at Burbach Aquatics Inc. and daughter #6, Katie (Josh) Trentz.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an uncle, John Burbach.

David married Katherine Jean McFall, daughter of Robert Stanley McFall and Esther Alvena Bendorf, on 20 Apr 1974 in Cuba City, WI, St Rose Church. The marriage ended in divorce. (Katherine Jean McFall was born on 19 Feb 1951 in Beloit, WI, Beloit Municipal Hospital and was christened on 10 Jun 1951 in Platteville, WI, Free Methodist Church.)
