He was born November 22, 1963 in Beloit, WI, the son of David and Lorrie Harrell Ensley. Robert was a 1982 graduate of Beloit Memorial High School. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. Robert married Laurie Heineke on September 9, 1988 in Las Vegas, NV.
Robert was previously employed by Geneva Lakes Cold Storage, Darien, WI, Black and Decker, Beloit, WI, Warner Electric Brake & Clutch, South Beloit, IL, and was recently working with Community Action, Inc. He was an Eagle Scout and assisted with the Cub Scouts when his son was young. Robert enjoyed spending time with his children who were his greatest joy, the Green Bay Packers, and NASCAR.
Survivors include his two children, Andrew David Ensley of Beloit, WI and Courtney Ann Ensley of Beloit, WI; sister, Teri (Brian) Yankee of Tallahassee, FL; brother, Steve (Deb) Ensley of Madison, WI; step mother, Voni Ensley of Arizona; two step brothers, Tim Strand of Apalachicola, FL and Matt Strand of Roscoe, IL; girlfriend, Marvel Shear and her son Josh, both of Janesville, WI; and several nieces and a nephew.
He was predeceased by his parents and grandparents.
A memorial gathering for friends and family will be 1 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2011, at Sun Valley Presbyterian Church fellowship hall. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI assisted the family with arrangements.
