• Obituary. Della L. Beyer, age 82, of rural Platteville, died on Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at Southwest Health Center in Plattevillle. She was born on September 26, 1926, the daughter of George and Emily (Peacey) Gregory in Harrison Township.
Della graduated from Platteville High School and attended State Teachers College in Platteville. She married Earl "Jimmy" Martens on June 24, 1950. He preceded her in death on July 12, 1995. Della married Robert Beyer on September 27, 1997 in Platteville.
Della is survived by her husband, Bob Beyer, Platteville; her sister, Margie (Frederick) Denman, Cazenovia; Bob's daughters: Betty (Jerry) Waydick, Arkdale, WI, Nancy (Paul) Bendorf, Platteville, Shirley Smith, Oregon, WI and Sherry (Tom) Paulus, Platteville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Earl "Jimmy."
Della married Earl Stuart Martens, son of Benjamin Frederick Martens and Ruth Eliza Louthain, on 24 Jun 1950. (Earl Stuart Martens was born on 26 Feb 1919, died on 12 Jul 1995 and was buried in Platteville, WI, Greenwood Cemetery.)
