Betty A Eck

1. Obituary. Betty A. Pluemer, 77, of Platteville, Wisconsin, died on Friday, April 18, 2025. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Deacon Bill Bussan will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, St. Jude Children's Hospital or Diabetes Association. Betty was born on December 9, 1947, in Lancaster, Wisconsin, daughter of Raymond and Bernice (Hall) Eck. She was united in marriage to Paul Pluemer on May 8, 1971, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Platteville. Betty held various jobs throughout her life and was a very dedicated hard worker. For 40 years Betty was the custodian at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Platteville. Betty every once in a while, would enjoy a good round of golf, but truly Betty loved being with her family and especially her grandson, Brady.

Betty is survived by her husband, Paul, two children, Jill (Greg) Miller, Kelly (Wendy Jensen) Pluemer; grandson, Brady Miller; sister, LaVon Miller; brother, Roger Eck; sisters-in-law, Doris, Dorothy, Phyllis and Karen Eck; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Vivian Alcott, brothers, Clayton, Robert, Stanley, Virgil and Jack, brother-in-law, Al Miller and John Alcott and sister-in-law, Shirley Eck.

The family of Betty would like to express their gratitude to Dr. White and his staff, the staff of Edenbrook for their amazing care of our wife and mother.

Betty married Paul Pleumer, son of Wilfred N Pleumer and Mary Jane Kuehl, on 8 May 197.
