1. Obituary. Mary J. Garvey, age 64, of Platteville, Wisconsin formerly of Livingston, Wisconsin died on Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, at Lancaster General Hospital, Lancaster, Pa., from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Mary was born on Dec. 9, 1939, in Mifflin, Iowa County, the daughter of Harry and Zella (Dolphin) Wilkinson.

She was united in marriage to Kenneth E. Garvey on Nov. 30, 1957, at the Rewey United Methodist Church. Mary worked for Land's End, Dodgeville, for 23 years in the payroll department. She was a member of the Rewey United Methodist Church, where she was the treasurer for 25 years. Mary loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, reading, crocheting and going to the movies.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth of Platteville; three children, Kim Chandler of Platteville, Kevin (Maria) Garvey of Platteville and Kent (fiancee, Teresa Powell) Garvey of Richland Center; five grandchildren, Patrick (Nichole) Chandler, Patricia Chandler, Jason (fiancee, Sara Farrey) Garvey and Amanda Garvey, all of Platteville, and Joshua Garvey of Dodgeville; a great- grandson, Preston Chandler; a brother, Glenn (Sara) Wilkinson of Frederica, Del.; brother-in-law, Lee "Bear" (Bon) Davis of Livingston; two sisters-in-law, Donna Garvey of Abbotsford, and Helen (Verlyn) Jinkins of Waukesha; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Kurt; son-in-law, Glenn Chandler; her parents; two sisters, Gloria Davis and Leah Lepley; and brother-in-law, Charlie Garvey.

Mary married Kenneth E Garvey. (Kenneth E Garvey was born on 16 Oct 1939 and was buried in Mifflin, WI, Mifflin Cemetery.)
