• Obituary. Donna J. Tierney, 87, of Platteville, Wisconsin, died on Saturday, April 30, 2022. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m, Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Private family burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Platteville. Donna was born on August 9,1934 in Belmont, Wisconsin, daughter of Harvey H. and Eileen V. (Richards) Speth. She was united in marriage to Patrick J. Tierney on July 20, 1957 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Platteville. Donna graduated from Belmont High School and later attended UW-Platteville. She devoted her life to her family and took great pride in raising her children. In later years, Donna cherished spending time with her grandchildren. She was a star in their eyes, and that was all that mattered to her.

Donna is survived by her six children; Tammy Tierney (Mark McNally), Michael (Marcia) Tierney, Susan (Bill) Niehaus, Mary Tierney-Ley, Kathryn (Jim) Blair, and Ted (Billi) Tierney; ten grandchildren; Taylor (Cory) Nielsen, Shawn Tierney, Dillon Tierney, Brianna Lucey, Matthew (fiancee, Sarah Spang) Niehaus, Elizabeth (Matt) Osterholz, Rachel Ley, Bryan Blair, Jonathan (fiancee, Katie Mackay) Blair and Jaxon Tierney; one great-grandson, Sullivan Nielsen; two brothers, David (Karen) Speth, Daniel (Gayle) Speth, sister, Joanne Helms; sister-in-law, Joyce Speth; brother-in-law, Jerry Olson; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat; granddaughter, Millie Niehaus; parents; sisters, Deanne Bennett, Judy Palzkill, and Jolante Olson; brother, Donald Speth: brothers-in-law, Clarence Bennett, Russ Helms, and Jim Palzkill.

Donna married Patrick James Tierney. (Patrick James Tierney was born in 1934 and was buried in Platteville, WI, Calvary Cemetery.)
