1. Obituary. DONALD H. (TOD) MORMAN, 80, passed away on January 27, 2008 after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's disease. Born in Wausau, Wisconsin, he spent his boyhood exploring and enjoying the outdoors. As a Boy Scout, he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He served 4 years in the U.S. Navy. Tod earned a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He then worked for the Shell Oil Company as a Chemist and Industrial Hygienist for over 33 years in both California and Texas. He married his love, Joyce, and enjoyed 50 years of happiness with her. Tod is preceded in death by his brother, Frank Morman. He is survived by Joyce and three daughters; Sara and Alex Hutson of Austin, and their children, Maggie, Sandy and Rusty; Carol and Reagan Kott of the Woodlands, and their children Dalton and Amanda; and Anna and Matt Welch of Cedar Park. Also survived by his sister Marion Freiberg of Wausau, WI and numerous nieces and nephews. Tod enjoyed hiking, camping, and canoeing in the great outdoors. He liked to travel and had a lifelong love of opera, ballet, and other performing arts. Donald married Joyce Ann Russell, daughter of Kenneth S Russell and Sarah Butson. (Joyce Ann Russell was born on 28 Jan 1935 and was buried in Wausau, WI, Pine Grove Cemetery.) |
