DARLINGTON - Clarence E. "Curly" Bennett, age 75, of Darlington, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2005, at UW Hospital in Madison. He was born on April 5, 1930, in Kendall Township, Lafayette County, the son of Louis and Irene (Lutes) Bennett. Curly graduated from Ridgeway High School in 1949. He was united in marriage to Deanne Speth on November 15, 1958, at Peace Lutheran Church, Belmont.
Survivors include his wife, Deanne, at home; one son, Jeff (Sandy) Bennett of Darlington; four brothers, Wayne (Eleanor) Bennett of Cuba City, Leonard (Sandy) Bennett of Linden, Daryle (Vicki) Bennett of Benton and William (Debbie) Bennett of Warren, Ill. He is also survived by two special young men, Anthony and Dillon Frick of Darlington; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Helen Joyce in infancy.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 25, 2005, at 11 a.m. at GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, with the Rev. Todd Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery, Darlington. A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2005, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the ERICKSON FUNERAL HOME in Darlington.
