  Noted events in his life were:

• Obituary. John Bockhop, age 60, passed away late Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Borcherding, North Second street. He was born in Elk Grove township and for many years farmed near Leslie. The body was taken to the Concklin mortuary where it rested until Saturday afternoon, being then taken to the Borcherding home.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 1:30 at the home and at 2:00 o'clock at the Belmont Lutheran church, the Rev. Amend officiating. Burial was at Belmont.

Survivors are his widow; three daughters, Mrs. John Borcherding of Platteville, Mrs. Henry Mester of Belmont and Florence at home; one son Maynard, at home; two brothers Ernest of Platteville and Henry of Belmont; and four grandchildren.
