Catherine M McCoy

• Obituary. PLATTEVILLE - Catherine M. Lee age 57 of Platteville, WI and formerly of Shullsburg passed away on May 23rd, 2010 at Mercy Health Center in Dubuque, IA.

She was born on June 15th, 1952 in, Hazel Green, the daughter of Gordon and Cleone (Shepherd) McCoy. She married her beloved husband Jerry Lee in 1991 and moved to their farm in Platteville.

Cathy was employed as a nurse by Lafayette County Memorial Hospital for 35 years. She was an active member of Livingston Free Methodist Church. Cathy was a crafty woman full of energy and full of life. She enjoyed spending time outdoors whether it was farming with Jerry or working in the garden. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with their dogs Cierra and Shawna.

Cathy is survived by her husband Jerry Lee of Platteville; mother Cleone McCoy of South Wayne; 3 brothers: Ray (Rose) McCoy, Gratiot; Randy (Susie) McCoy, Monticello, and Rick (Tanya) McCoy, Monroe; 3 sisters: Janet (Gary) Wiegel, Martintown; Eunice (Lyle) Simmons, Menominee Falls; Shelia (Curt) Johnsurd, New Glarus, and brother-in-law David (Dawn) Lee, Belmont. She is also survived by a very special niece Sarah Imhoff, Blue River, and nephew Derek McCoy, Dubuque, IA; and many other nieces and nephews.

Cathy was preceded in death by her father Gordon McCoy, her father and mother-in-law Robert and Carol Lee, and by twin nieces Mya Elizabeth and Hanna Jo Lee.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am May 26th, 2010 at MELBY-BENDORF FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY, Platteville. A visitation will be held on May 25th, 2010 from 4 to 8 pm at MELBY-BENDORF FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY, Platteville. MELBY-BENDORF FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY is serving the family.

Catherine married Jerry Robert Lee, son of Robert E Lee and Carol Laverne Miller, in 1991. (Jerry Robert Lee was born on 3 Apr 1945 and was buried in Platteville, WI, Hillside Cemetery.)
