• Obituary. Bonnie E. Pluemer, 78, of Platteville, formerly of Rewey, Wisconsin, died on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Pastor Mary Ann Floerke will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Platteville. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Online condolences can be made at www.melbyfh.com.

Bonnie was born on February 27, 1945 in Grant County, Wisconsin, daughter of Ermel and Mary (Hooks) Edge. She was united in marriage to Norbert E. Pluemer on December 21, 1963, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Platteville. Bonnie and Norbert farmed for many years east of Rewey, on County Road A, "Nor-Bon Farms". After retiring from farming they moved to Platteville. Bonnie enjoyed cooking, sewing, embroidering, tending to her flowers and playing a good game of cards. She had a great fondness for horses for many years, especially for her first horse, Captain. She enjoyed traveling and was an avid Badgers, Packers, and Brewers fan.

Bonnie is survived by her husband of 60 years, Norbert; two daughters, LaDonna (Tim) Loeffler and Amy (Randy) Brookens; three grandchildren, Ashley (Cody) Hartl, Alexa (Devin) Jeglum and Brett (fiance, Emily LaCalamita) Hoey; one great-grandson, Briggson Hartl; sister, Donna Canaan; brothers, Harlas (Cindy) Edge and Maynard Edge; brothers and sisters-in-law, Delbert (Donna) Pluemer, Baldy (Bev) Pluemer, Dolores Nihles, Doris Stark, Marie (Norm) Kemnitzer, Velma (Jerry) Grimes, Kathryn Pluemer; her four legged companion, "Taco" and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Paul (Sue) Edge, and Gary Edge, brothers-in-law, Loel and Francis Pluemer, Clayton Stark and Robert Nihles.

Bonnie married Norbert Pleumer, son of Sylvester George Pleumer and Viola M Reuter, on 21 Dec 1963.
