1. Obituary. Clarence A. Chapman, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 21, 2004, at Central Washington Hospital. He was born April 21, 1914, to Robert Roy and Ada (Bowling) Chapman in Crane, Stone County, Missouri. At an early age, the family moved to Wisconsin where he grew up. Clarence was the oldest of 8 Children. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corp. from 1933 to 1938 as head cook. Clarence married Mildred C. Anderson on July 15, 1940 in Springfield, Missouri and they Celebrated 63 years of marriage last summer. They moved to Orondo in 1952, where they owned and operated an orchard for 50 years. They moved to Colonial Vista Apartments in 2001. Clarence celebrated his 90th Birthday in April. Clarence married Mildred Carolyn Anderson. (Mildred Carolyn Anderson was born on 15 Oct 1917 and was buried in Orondo, WA, Orondo Community Cemetery.)
