1. Obituary. Geraldine Bendorf Fennimore Geraldine Bendorf, age 84, of Fennimore, died on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004 at her residence in Fennimore. She was born on Sept 22, 1919 in Ipswitch Township, Lafayette County, the daughter of Oliver and Lyda Pedley Vickerman. She was united in marriage to Eldon Bendorf on Jan. 25, 1943 in Flushing, NY. Geraldine worked for the Lancaster Care Center prior to working at the Fennimore Good Samaritan Center as a nurses aid for 20 years and was also active with the Homeward Bound through the mid 90 s. Geraldine lived her life to the fullest and will be remembered for having a wonderful sense of humor. She was very honest and fun loving and enjoyed playing games with family and friends such as scrabble, dominoes and word finds. Geraldine was very proud of her garden and took her spiritual life very serious, she liked to take time each day and read her Bible and was a member of the Boscobel Assembly of God. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Surviving are hour sons, Dwayne Sue Bendorf of Findlay, IL, Douglas Claudette Bendorf of Lancaster, Larry Marge Bendorf of Opelousas, LA and Dennis Tracie Bendorf of Adamstown, MD 17 grandchildren 17 great grandchildrenand five siblings, Virginia Stenulson of Dodgewille, Laverle Jewett of Lehigh Acres, FL, Everett Vickerson of Benton, Joyce Brugger of Platteville, and Joseph Vickerman of Beloit. She was preceded in death by her parents her husband, Eldon on Nov. 16, 1987 and a brother, Jr. Vickerman. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Jan. 21 at 11 AM at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore, with Pastor Lowell Bush of the Calvary Community Church in Lancaster officiating. Geraldine married Eldon Paul Bendorf, son of Lewis William Bendorf and Nellie Isabelle Wieland, on 25 Jan 1943 in Flushing, NY, Baptist Parsonage. (Eldon Paul Bendorf was born on 29 Feb 1920 in Lancaster Township, Grant County, WI, died on 16 Nov 1987 and was buried in Lancaster, WI, Hillside Cemetery.)
