• Miscellaneous. Bridget Littleton (also spelled Lyttleton) was born in 1545 in Groveley Wood, Worcester, Worcestershire, England. Bridget was the daughter of Robert Littleton (1519-1601) and Elizabeth (Stanley) Littleton (1525-1557). Bridget's grandfather was Sir John Lyttleton who was constable of Dudley Castle and keeper of the old and new parks there in 1553, knighted by Queen Elizabeth I at Kenilworth in 1566 and was a member of the Council of Wales and the Marches, a Deputy Lieutenant and Justice of the Peace for Worcestershire. There were many other knights in this family line.

Bridget is listed on page 223 of the book, "The Royal Descents of 600 Immigrants".

Bridget married Henry James (1539-?) in 1564 in Kenilworth, Warwickshire, England. He was the son of Edmond James (1500-1585) and Ann (Ramsay) James (1510-1584). Edmond was the Esq., Justice of the Peace for Staffordshire, England.

Henry and Bridget James were the parents of the following known children: Dorothy, Elizabeth, Anne and Martha James.

Bridget Littleton James died on 28 Aug 1622 in Forfield, Worcestershire, England. She was 77 years old.
