1. Obituary. Grandma Geny Genevieve Trotter, 89, of Rockford, passed away in Rockford Memorial Hospital on Saturday, January 31, 2009.
Born in Hazel Green, Wisconsin on May 8, 1919 to Ernest and Amy (Redman) Shepherd. Married Earl Trotter in Champaign, IL on October 3, 1937. She loved to knit, crochet, play bingo and do crossword puzzles. Her family was her life.
Survived by son, Earl (Vonni) Trotter, Loves Park; daughters, Sandra (Leonard) Voss, Rockford, Earlene (Dom) Gradozzi, Belvidere, and Nancy (Randy) MacMillen, Lodi, WI; brother, William (Betty) Shepherd; and loved by 15 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by her parents, husband, daughter, Eiline, one brother and two sisters.
Funeral service will be at 10:30am on Thursday, February 5, 2009 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Rockford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford, with a visitation Wednesday evening from 6-8pm.
Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
