bullet  Noted events in his life were:

1. Obituary. Grant County Witness, Wed., October 14, 1891; Obituary--PARISH, David T. Parish, of the town of Harrison, Wis., died at his home Sabbath p. m., Oct. 11, aged fifty-two years. Mr. Parish was born in Logansport, Indiana.

He served his country faithfully and heroically in the war of the Rebellion, being for three years a member of Co. I Tenth Wisconsin Volunteers. For fourteen months he was confined as a prisoner in Andersonville prison, where were planted the seeds of the disease which ended his life after a brief but painful confinement to the house. He bore his suffering as a good soldier, and expressed the hope of joining innumerable army of the Lord who are encamped above.

The funeral at the house was conducted Tuesday a. m. by Rev. H. W. Carter.

One of his favorite hymns, "Is my Name Written There?" was sung

David married Margaret C Morris, daughter of Richard Morris and Catherine McFall, in 1891. (Margaret C Morris was born on 27 Mar 1850 in Boardman, OH, died on 20 Oct 1928 and was buried in Platteville, WI, Greenwood Cemetery.)
