The stone pictured is presumed to be correct; it is almost completely illegible, but nearly matches in size and general shape, and stands next to Alexander Bushnell. Chloe Waite is the wife of Alexander Bushnell, the head of the Bushnell family in Hartford Ohio. She is said to be a descendant of Thomas Waite, the regicide, one of those who signed the death warrant of King Charles I of England, and was later imprisoned after the restoration of his son Charles II as King. The history(s) of Hartford, Trumbull Co., OH mention her frequently as living a long life and having over 300 living descendants in the late 1800's (at the time the histories were written).
