1. Obituary. Jack LeRoy Babcock went to live with the Lord on Aug. 11, 2009, after a long illness. He was the sixth child of 10 born to Luella and Howard Babcock. Jack was handicapped at the age of 10 in a school accident, but never let his disability stop him from doing everything the other children did. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, shooting pool and fishing. He spent his life doing what he could for family and friends and was loved by most who know him. Jack is survived by three daughters Samantha, a mother of five; Michelle, a mother of one, and Sherry, a mother of five. Jack is also survived by his loving mother Luella Babcock; sisters, brothers and in-laws Dorthy and Garland Delaney, Caryol and Bobby Derring, Rodger and Marcia Babcock, Kenny and Romie Babcock, Paul Babcock, Darlene and Martin Hicks, Charlene and John Paradis and Howard Larry and Rosena Babcock. Jack leaves behind numerous family and friends throughout the United States. Jack also leaves behind special friends Mickie and Chuck, who opened their home and heart to stand by him to the end. All will miss him. He was preceded in death by his father Howard Babcock, brother baby Earl and Grandson "Frankie." Jack's special message to all was "Life is too short to be unhappy. I will see you all in heaven."
