1. Miscellaneous. Eddie was born on 16 February 1907 in Hereford, Texas, the youngest of three children born to Edward Franklin and Eudora (Plyant) Eddington. He was enumerated at age three in the 1910 US Federal Census, and by this time his family was residing in Castro County, Texas, a few miles north and west of Hereford.

By the time the 1930 Federal Census had come to pass, Edward was still single at age twenty-three, but he was residing in Alamosa County, CO, with his oldest sister, Leona Carrie (Eddington) Moeny, and her husband, Charles Franklin Moeny, who had three small children of her own. Edward worked as an auto mechanic in a garage in Alamosa, Colorado. Right next door resided another family, the home of Alfred and Mildred Black, and their two daughters--Dorothy (age 14) and Charlotte (age 22) and her son Robert Brady (age 4 yrs 8 mos). Charlotte was divorced from her first husband, Jerome Thomas Brady, and in 1932 at age twenty-five, Edward Eddington--also age twenty-five married Charlotte (Black) Brady.

Edward married Charlotte Lorraine Black, daughter of Alfred Jerome Dittenhaver-Black and Mildred Ann Armstrong. (Charlotte Lorraine Black was born on 28 Aug 1907 in Seattle, WA or CO, died on 1 Jan 2000 in Cornelius, OR and was buried in Vernonia, OR, Vernonia Memorial Cemetery.)
