Charlotte eloped with Jerome Thomas Brady when she was 17. This elopement took them across a state line which resulted in Jerome being jailed for the Mann Act (transporting underage females across the state line for immoral purposes). Charlotte's father, Alfred Black, was called and got Jerome out of jail.
Charlotte and Jerome had Robert Thomas Brady (8/6/1925) and then divorced. Charlotte moved back in with her parents then married 2 other men (Eddie Eddington and Robert Clem) before remarrying Jerome Brady. She and Jerome remained married until his death in 1983.
Charlotte married Edward Ivy Eddington, son of Edward Franklin Eddington and Martha Jane Eudora Pylant. (Edward Ivy Eddington was born on 16 Feb 1907 in Hereford, TX, died on 28 Nov 1961 in Alamosa, CO and was buried in Alamosa, CO, Alamosa City Cemetery.)
