Robert Rixie age 92, of Wyeville, Wisconsin passed away on Sunday September 10, 2006 at the Memorial Home in Sparta, Wisconsin.

He was born on September 3, 1914 in Rosebud, Illinois to Carrie Rixie.

He was united in marriage to Wanda Swinford: she preceded him in death. He was later married to Helen O'Neil for 46 years: she preceded him in death in 1992.

Bob joined the U.S. Navy and service with the WWII and the Korean War. He continued his service with the Naval Reserve and retired in the 1970's.

Bob moved to Tomah in 1946. He worked at the VA Hospital for 25 years and retired in 1971 as a Supervisor of Nursing Assistants. Following his retirement, Bob tented bar for 13 years at Club 21 where he was famous for his Bloody Mary's. He was a member of the Tomah American Legion Post #201.

He is survived by his children:

10 grandchildren and 10 greatchildren: his special friend, Evelyn Linenberg of Tomah, Wis. and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two children:

Robert married Wanda Fern Swinford. (Wanda Fern Swinford was born on 31 Aug 1921, died on 28 Aug 1995 and was buried in Golconda, IL, IOOF Cemetery.)
