Robert F. DeBlock of Arlington Heights Funeral services for Robert F. DeBlock, 62, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Born Feb. 19, 1941, in Golconda, Ill., later moving to Chicago, he died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003, at Northwest Community Healthcare, Arlington Heights. Interment will be private. Mr. DeBlock worked as an auto mechanic in the Chicago area his entire life. He loved the outdoors and especially looked forward to his hunting trips to Southern Illinois and fishing trips to Wisconsin. He was kind, generous and loyal to his friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He touched his families' lives in a special way and left them with many memories that they will cherish in their hearts forever. Bob was the devoted father of Robert T. (Sheryl, nee Chernicky) DeBlock of Chicago and Randall DeBlock; loving son of Robert Rixie of Tomah, Wis.; dear brother of Pat (Dale) Backus of Chippewa Falls, Wis.; fond son-in-law of Fred Fleck of Wild Rose, Wis.; and cherished uncle of many. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dianne; parents, Wanda and James DeBlock; and a brother, James. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
