1. Miscellaneous. Charles was the son of William Merry and Charlotte Ann Rodgers. He married Matilda McFall on 20 NOV 1884 in Platteville, Wisconsin. They were the parents of Clara, George, Jesse, Wallace Ora, Harold, Hazel, Myrtle, Dewey, Thomas, Coralie, and Reid.
January 7, 1943 - Sioux Rapids Bulletin Board - Funeral services for Charles H. Merry, 88, who passed away at his home in Sioux Rapids on December 31, were held Sunday afternoon at the Green Funeral Home. Rev. T. Ernest Hoon of the Methodist Church conducted the services.
Mr. Merry came to Sioux Rapids in May 1900 and the family has resided here ever since.
He is survived by his widow, and five children: Dewey, of Sioux Rapids, Thomas and Wallace, of Los Angeles, Jessie of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Cora Ensley, of George, Iowa.
Six children passed away, in infancy.
Burial was in Lone Tree Cemetery.
Charles married Matilda Inez McFall, daughter of George William McFall and Laura Eva Barstow, on 20 Nov 1884 in Platteville, WI.
