1. Miscellaneous. Mary's parents were David and Catherine Klinedinst Burkholder who moved from Ohio to Platteville, WI. in 1856. She and Henry H. Winter were married in Grant Co, WI. on August 28, 1861. They moved to Minnisota in the early 1870's and then to Sheldon, Iowa. They had two daughters, Leora and Olive, and three sons, Leonard,Henry and one who died in infancy. He was in Co. I, 10th. Wis. Inf. during the Civil War. He was also imprisoned at Andersonville, GA. for 18 months.

Mary married Henry H Winter, son of Peter Winter and Catherine Cork. (Henry H Winter was born on 24 Sep 1840 in Oswego County, NY, died on 21 May 1902 in Sheldon, IA and was buried in Sheldon, IA, East Lawn Cemetery.)
