1. Obituary. Carol Kay Stricker, age 93, of Edgerton, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Swift Haven Community in Edgerton. She was born February 20, 1922 in Platteville, WI the daughter of Albert and Mildred (Olson) Kay.

Carol graduated from U.W. Platteville and began her teaching career in Juda, WI. She then moved to Edgerton in 1943 where she taught for 4 years and met and married Henry C. Stricker. Carol was a Cub Scout leader, a member of Edgerton United Methodist Church, Sunday School teacher and was active in many committees at church including the culture club, Ruth Circle and Benefit Circle.

She is survived by her daughter Cinda Stricker of New Berlin, WI; 3 grandchildren: Steven (Leo) Stricker of Simi Valley, CA, Dana Stricker, Biloxi, MS, and Michael (Shannon) Bird of Stockton, CA; 7 great-grandsons; a sister: Doris Tatge of Platteville, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Henry and their son, David; brother Jim Kay, sister Joyce Van Natta.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 10, 2015 at the Edgerton United Methodist Church. Visitation time will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church on Monday. Burial will be in the Fassett Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials made be given to the Edgerton United Methodist Church. The Albrecht Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Edgerton is assisting the family.
