Darlington- Funeral services for Ole Oleson, 86, who died Thursday morning at his home in Lamont township east of Darlington were to be held at 2 pm today in the Nelson funeral home in Darlington.

The Rev. E.J. Jeffrey was to conduct the services with burial in Union Grove cemetery.

Mr. Olson was born in southern Norway on Oct. 6, 1856 and with his wife Caroline came to Lafayette county when he was 26 years old. They made their home in the Lamont vicinity for the last 60 years. His wife died August 12.

He leaves three sons, Oliver, Darlington, Clifford, Lamont, and John, Seymour; and five daughters, Mrs. Fletcher Gollmar, Warren, Ill., Mrs. Roy Penniston, Fayette, Mrs. Clara Miller, Darlington, Mrs. Albert Kay, Platteville, and Mrs. Aldace Arnsmeier, Darlington.

Ole married Caroline Gilberts. (Caroline Gilberts was born on 24 Apr 1859 in Norway and was buried in Darlington, WI, Union Grove Cemetery.)
