1. Obituary: Tomah Journal. Duane G. "Papa Du" Lamb, 61, of Warrens, died Wednesday, June 27, 2007. He was born June 16, 1946, to Gilbert and Leona (Steege) Lamb. He was married to Alice (Callaway) Stillwell for nine years. He worked for American Motors Corp. prior to being self-employed as an auto body repairman for many years and most recently for Shaw's Auto. Duane was known for his generosity and goodwill toward anyone in need.
He is survived by his fiancée, Donna Ziegler Garrison of Waukegan, IL; her children, Jennifer (John) McMahon of St. Louis, MO, and Erik (Becky) Garrison of Winthrop Harbor, IL; his three daughters, Brenda (Rev. Rick) Crisman of Griffith, IN, Bernice (Lonnie) Mattos of Milwaukee, and Bobbie Jo (Tim) Williams of Cheyenne, WY; his father, Gilbert of Black River Falls; 13 grandchildren, Amanda, Annalisa, Kristina, Lacey and Crystal Crisman, Zebulun and Ephraim Mattos, Jake and Cody Lynn Williams, Haley and Alec Garrison, Claire and Rachel McMahon; two brothers, Harold of Oregon and William of Tomah; five sisters, Beverly (Donald) Hartlein of Port Charlotte, FL, Rosena (Larry) Babcock of Klamath Falls, OR, Rita (Michael) Jasinki of Warrens, Elizabeth (Dwight) Hegg and Arlys (Kenneth) Fulton, both of Black River Falls; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, two brothers, Frederick and Gilbert Jr., and a sister, Marie Meacham.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 30, at 11 a.m. at The Open Door Baptist Church, 7294 Cty Trk. O, Tomah. Rev. Rick Crisman officiated. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery in the Town of Scott.
Relatives and friends called at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St., on Friday from 4 until 8 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Duane married Alice Ann Callaway on 17 Jul 1965. (Alice Ann Callaway was born on 13 May 1949 in Sparta, WI.)
