4. Miscellaneous. From Ray's daughter, Elizabeth:

"Dad started delivering milk from the Mitchell Hollow Rd farm via Morgan drawn horse and wagon, full of milk cans. He sold by the dipper full as women came out with their pitchers to be filled. Later after moving to town, He started bottling milk in the basement of our Irene Street house. Joanne my sister has a flyer that states 'Ray and Sons' as Guerdon and Bob helped in the beginning of the Milk business. Later 'Ideal Dairy' was started using two different locations in the downtown area. One was across from the feed store in back Ally of the Old location of First National Bank Then dad bought one block south of that location. But it was in mid downtown area, not the Methodist church location before they built their now newer location. I forget the names of streets. He sold the dairy to his partner Maynard Bratton, in early 50's because of back pain."

"He and mother were members at Free Methodist Church from my early childhood till they passed away. Dad would pick up children for SS using his Ideal Dairy milk truck. He was SS superintendent and Song leader several years. Mother was pianists. Dad was raised at Whig Church."

"Dad my father Ray and Dorothy Bushnell owned and operated the High School Store on Madison Street. It was located across the street from the High School. They bought the store from a family friend, Spink, the previous owner. I worked in the store my junior high school days. Usually before and after school hours serving drinks, Snacks and school supplies. I have a ice cream table and chairs that were in that store. My daughter Zerilda now has it in her home. Dad and mom bought the store after they sold their half of Ideal dairy because he was having back problems and wanted to continue working Then he found the store gave him back aches too. Thus retired from both Dairy and store. Started traveling and working here and there as dad never liked to quit. Dad had lots of energies and liked to mix with people. He kept busy till his dying day."
