1. Obituary, 6 Nov 2013, Wisconsin Rapids Tribunal. Bedessem, Mary L. "Mrs. B'

Mary L. Bedessem, 88, of Bangor, passed away Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at Mulder Health Care Facility, West Salem.

She was born March 27, 1925, in Mather, Wis., to Frank and Ruth (Tyler) Griffin. On March 30, 1942, she married Oscar A. Bedessem in Dubuque, Iowa, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 25, 1976. Mary's employment included working as director of nursing at

Mulder Health Care Facility before owning and operating B & E Superette and then Mrs. B's Catering, both in Bangor. She was also a flower designer who taught the Flowers With A Flair course at WWTC in La Crosse. In her earlier years, Mary enjoyed bowling, sewing, crocheting, and reading. However, if you knew Mary, her passion was shopping and she loved the colors red and black! She will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Survivors include three daughters, Ruth (Orville Bauer) Christensen of Grand Marsh, Wis.; DiAnn Bedessem of Sparta; and Kim (David) Hesselberg of Sparta; nine grandchildren, Scott Christensen, Cacy (Keith) Winker, David (Cheri) Elliott, Kathy Elliott, Kris Olson, Darin (Heidi) Elliott, Hope (Tom) Brennan, Nick Hesselberg, and Ben Hesselberg; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Lucretia (John) Bubla, Jean (Virgil) Alexander, and Maxine (Fred) Silver-Daily; one brother, James Griffin; and a son-in-law, Richard Christensen.

A Funeral Mass will be Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 303 So. 16th Ave., Bangor. Father Bob Hegenbarth will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Home, Hwy 162 and Hattan St., Bangor, on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Online condolences may be sent at www.jandtfredrickson.com.

The family would like to give special thanks to Mulder Health Care Facility for the compassionate care given to Mary.
