1. Obituary. BURLINGTON - Lelia M. Wienke, 67, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011, with family at her side. Lelia was born in Tomah October 29, 1943, the daughter of the late Samuel and Adeline Griffin. She spent her early life near Tomah and on June 3, 1961, in Nekoosa, she married Donald Wienke. The couple first lived near Eagle Lake and Town of Dover for some time and also in the Town of Norway and settling the past 17 years in Rochester. Lelia was a homemaker and raised four children and loved to spend time with all of her family. Lelia and her husband, Don, were going to celebrate 50 years of marriage on June 3, 2011. During their younger years, the couple enjoyed camping and fishing, motorcycling and snowmobiling. Survived by loving husband, Don; four children, Dawn Hammiller, Rhonda (Rickie) Jones, Wanda (Dan) Hockman, and Donald 'Chris' Wienke Jr.; grandchildren, Joshua (Torrey) and Anthony (Laura) Hammiller, Danielle Ramon (fiancé, Bill) Daniel (Deanna), Kristen, and Brittany Ybarra, and Amanda, Ashley, D.J., and Logan Wienke; great- grandchildren, Cheyanne, Samantha, Addisson, Zachary, Alexis, and Jacob, and two great- grandchildren on the way! Also survived by a sister, Elaine (Sonny) Morrison; and a brother, Sam (JoAnne) Griffin; other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Tom Hammiller; and sister, Alice. Services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, March 12, 2011, at 3 p.m. with a memorial gathering from 1 until 3 p.m. Inurnment at Burlington Cemetery following services.
