Mrs. Hulda Brown, age 94, passed away Friday evening at a local convalescent home after an illness of three weeks.
Mrs. Brown was born August 14, 1853, near Whig and has been a lifelong resident of Whig and Platteville. Surviving are four grandchildren, Earl and Milton Hartschorn, of Platteville, Robert Brown of Denver, Colo., and Bernice Brown of Seattle, Wash.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 P. M., Monday, October 20, at the Thomas Funeral Home with the Rev. R. R. Doering officiating. Burial was in the Whig Cemetery.
Huldah was the daughter of Jacob and Nancy Augustine Rice. She married Chauncey Brown August 29, 1873 in Grant Co, WI. They had seven children.
