1. Miscellaneous. August "Gus" Burkholder's parents were Jacob and Catherine Rice Burkholder. He was born April 25, 1885 in Harrison Township, Grant Co., WI. He married first Luella Josephine Henry on March 1, 1911 and had two children, Leonard Jacob and Madeline L. Burkholder. Madeline died in infancy. Luella died in 1913. Gus then married Agnes Hansine in 1924 and they had three children. Agnes had two children from a previous marriage, Marcus and Lois, they were adopted by Gus.
